Short Walks in Aargau is intended for people who love to walk in the countryside enjoying a beautiful lanscape, good company and great outdoors.
Switzerland is a country of hikers and there are up to 60.000 km of footpaths ("Wanderwege") to accomodate the crowd of passionate hikers. Switzerland is not only a land of high mountains and glaciers: the Swiss landscape is also made of rivers, green hills, cute villages, castles and the "Wanderwege" take you into this beautiful countryside.
We take great care in the selection of the trails (or Wanderwege) we present here: we want the walks to be fun, but also easy enough for people not willing to afford strenuous hiking. We also select the most interesting paths in the Zurich and Baden (Aargau) areas, which feature beautiful scenic views along the routes and picturesque spots of historic interest.
